Yesterday was my birthday so I painted my nails using one of my favourite designs that I had been meaning to try out. A vintage Cath Kidston inspired design…
To start with I applied two coats of Rimmel PRO Peppermint from Superdrug as a base for all nails. This is one of my favourite nail polishes, not only do I love the colour but the brush is really wide so it’s so easy to apply.
Once the base coat had dried I used my dotting tool and a white nail polish to add spots to some of my nails.
To my remaining nails I used my dotting tool again and a dark pink nail polish to add rough ovals for the base of the flowers. These are better if they aren’t neat and do have uneven edges.
Once the base of the flowers has dried I used my BarryM pale pink nail art pen to add detail to the roses as shown below. I used another pale green nail art pen to add leaves to the edges of the roses.
Once everything was dry I added a glossy top coat to protect the design so it lasts longer.
The nail polishes I used:
I love this design, it was actually really simple to do but looks really pretty. I also had a wonderful birthday!
